another consoles like devive on the market?? just what we need, pass I was hoping from some gpu defining annoucment not another consoles like device
May your console's Hz be high and Bytes many. (Or at least how it supposed to be) Seems like everybody (Valve, Nvidia, etc ...) wants to get their console in people's room nowadays. Hopefully console peasants will be pleased.
The console aspect of this is pretty boring imo, but GRID will be like an endless console. High end graphics all the time.
1st) computing power is not measured in "terabytes" 2nd) advertisement is like taken from sci-fi movie where in few moments from start this "we are everywhere..." turns into "...and now we end you" 3rd) And as I wrote before they are not first to invade living room TV. 4 players idea is very old, but good. Too bad they did not say: "2 players on full screen with passive 3D TVs (line interleaved image)" Questions: Is this thing only for streaming from cloud or are those 200 games recompiled to run on Android and can be played locally? As this is "living room entertainment", what value this device has once not in living room and offline? If they build games for Shield X1, how well they run on previous Shield? (How old is last shield? How long one can expect to use this till next Shield performance allows for details so high that this X1 will no longer be supported?)
The funny thing is that the console is just doing what the Portable and Tablet already could do, minus the portability. I'm glad they're still pushing Android as a legitimate gaming platform, but it seems like a very strange move.
Bad, sad news Nvidia. If cloud gamming (Grid, Onlive, etc...) , or any other platform is the future then all I like about pc gamiming is dead, I want to play my games at 4k with extreme antialiasing be able to get the best image quality, that's why I've expend thousands of euros in the past years on powerfull gpus, tell me nvidia if Grid is the future who's gonna buy your high end gpus?. I don't want to play at 1080p (at best) with high latency poor quality streaming video
