The product definitaely is Android based as parties like Android Police have been invited to this event. According to the email, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang will be demonstrating something "5 years in the making" that will "redefine the future of gaming."

I hope it will be some new next gen graphic card that would replace my 780 TI which seems has short life with the 3GB lol

Unless they are bringing fully working linux platform to arm devices, there is little to nothing to celebrate. Because main weakness of those mobile devices is Android under google's control.
And no kind of performance on chip will change that.

that would make a lot more sense than something android based becasue of the line ''5 years on development'', and it would be a lot more exciting, what ever it turns out to be i hope for something more than tegra based tablet

Unfortunately , it will not a new Graphic card....
(980 is always a very good competitor from 780 Ti , especially when 980 is at 1.4 Ghz or more ! )

Oh someone is once again going to "Redefine Future of Gaming" and I kind of guess it will be underwhelming or something that has been done before bit worse.

PR bull, they have as much exciting things to show us for gaming as MS did with Windows 10 especially if Shield is any indication of their mindset.

Yeah I'm expecting a VR based device in conjunction with Oculus. They've been working together recently, VR started nearly 5 years ago and the X1 runs Maxwell GPU with all the asynchronous warp stuff.

That thing is AR. Google knows why it dropped "glass".
And AR needs device to process environment, position and to render this additional stuff which will "Augment Reality".

It has to be small, light device (likely android). But if nVidia can kill Android, I'll say, they made great contribution to future of computing.

Canonical has Ubuntu Touch for ARM devices.... There are working builds for most Nexus devices. There just isn't an ideal method for loading it.

Oh man, I hope it's not 3d glasses or some thing like that.

Maybe it's some sort of console. But if Android devs are invited? Gosh, could be...who knows what.

    Nvidia gaming watch? lol

Yeah but it's not like the X1 has been 5 years in the making, nor is the shield tablet. I mean they could be announcing a tablet there with X1 but it's definitely something else when they are referring to the "Future of gaming" bit. X1 tablet with VR goggle add-on or something.

Actually that would be kind of neat. Gaming Grid stream VR games directly to the tablet that WiFi Directs to a VR headset/Controller.

Redefine gaming to be only mobile. From now on, all you play is going to be Game of War Fire Age and its sequels, prequels and clones. This is what everyone wants.
