dell doesnt make cards. Its most likely a Sapphire OEM card. Dell buys unbranded parts in bulk for their systems.
It says 30 days returns. It does look like a reference AMD card and I don't see Dell's name on it anywhere.
Ah, the dreaded return shipment. I'm just apprehensive because there are way too many fake GPU's on ebay. There are "gt 650" and "gtx 650ti" cards selling for ~60 which iirc are really from the 2xx era.
Like others have said, just looks like a reference cooled card. I am intrigued to what that SMG style clip on the back is for though?
Probably something proprietary so that it fits in their cases. My GF's old Dell had this custom HDD cage that was the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. They basically made it impossible to take it out and upgrade/replace the HDD.
looks more like fireGL version, at least the picture with that extra holding bracket.. And its not a X model, get X model to get the most out of it. e.g. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Radeon-...d42714&pid=100011&rk=8&rkt=10&sd=121556141183
Its a reference card. Alienware and Dell use the reference card with that bracket. I used too see them all the time when I did dell warranty.
Uhh guys, I think I have a problem. I ordered this card and an EVGA 430 psu with the idea that an R9 270 required only 1x6 pcie power connector. Open package and see this: Wat do Guru3d? :3eyes: I think the card is actually an R9 270x. I don't want to wait another week for a power connector just because of their mislabeling.
Never cheap out on the PSU. Always get overkill, aside from having headroom they run with higher efficiency when not pushed. So you plan on running them in Crossfire in that same rig? I would expect some CPU bottlenecking depending on your resolution with a Q9300 at 2.5GHz.
Nah, my next upgrade will be to an actual modern processor. Plus, my mobo doesn't even have two pcie slots
I have 5+ of these sitting in a draw. You will need a cpu upgrade. I just got rid of a q6600 setup. Even at 3.75ghz it was bottlenecking a gtx 650ti @ 1080p. And also was running 6gb DDR2 1066@ 1200mhz Even DDR3 1333 is way better then DDR2 667. Trust me I know.
