    I recently bought a 2nd 290 and have now sold on due to the lack of support in drivers and games. Its just not worth the hassle.

    ADVANCED WARFARE = BUGGED OUT EVEN WITH PROFILE
    ACU = TERRABLE OPTIMIZED GAME SAME PERFORMANCE WITH/WITHOUT
    FARCRY4 = NO PROFILE, STILL DOESNT WORK IN AFR FRIENDLY FLIKER!
    WATCHDOGS = NO DIFFERENCE

    BF4 = WORKS LOVLY
    DAI = WORKS LOVLY
    FARCRY3 = WORKS LOVLY 2YRS TOO LATE

    just far too much headache hope the next 390 is fast cause that is my next card.

    I HAVE A 4690K @4.5GHZ
    16GB RAM
    MSI GAMING 7 MOTHERBOARD
    QNIX 120HZ 1440P MONITOR

    For me Cod:aw single works lovely with crossfire right from release, and multiplayer too. As for other games that's true, waiting FC4 profile for years.

    No it didn't, COD:AW didn't work with CF at all at launch, and last drivers I tested it with, I think the pre-Omega betas, only just made CF work to a playable level, but nothing special

    Cod:AW doesn't benefit from crossfire. At all. It just increases load times and render times to an unplayable amount. Same story with ghosts. Black ops 2 has zero scaling no matter what profile you use. Pretty much any game from 2013 onwards has no crossfire support. Doesn't matter if it's a AAA title or online competitive game. They still haven't even got crossfire to work in CS:GO or Dota 2.

    on a serious note. Is there any chance anything will be done? If not my 2x R9 295x2 cards are useless...

    Yea, game devs and driver devs could pull their fingers out

    Will it happen? No, probably not

    Cool time to change then. Is Titan Z a dual GPU?

    You'd just be complaining about different games then. Both sides and game dev's have been really poor with multi-gpu support.

    I can recommend 1 x 980, never used SLI yet, Ive been AMD until a couple weeks ago, when I moved from a 295X2 to this 980

    Best card Ive ever owned

    I can't see me going multi-GPU again, support is pathetic

    As usual, people do not understand basics of multi gpu and complain about it.

    Multi gpu setups are mixed in performance, on both sides, amd and nvidia, that's not without reason, this is caused by how multi gpu works and how difficult to manage it is, the same by games developers and hardware manufacturers and gpu drivers teams.

    Do you go into multi gpu? Expect a lot of struggle and very rarely pleasure but when pleasure hits you it is better than your wife/husband.
    Do you blame amd? Go to nvidia part of forum, you will see similar amount of complains about sli.
    Do you blame amd for crossfire not working in nvidia partnered game? You are brainwashed by nvidia's marketing, i'm sorry, i can't help you.
    Do you blame nvidia for sli not working at some game? Wait for next driver release where they maybe will add sli profile but still, do not expect miracles, for some games nothing can be done.

    hmm, really? my last system had 2x 680's everything seemed to run like butter...

    I'm running a 21:9 screen 3440x1440. Recent games have supported SLI havent they?

    No, people understand the basics, it just doesn't work more often than it does

    Doesn't matter which you use, AMD or NVIDIA - albeit from what Ive read, NVIDIA comes out top, which wouldn't be difficult coming from years of CF AMD experience

    Best single gpu available on market or go multi-gpu but be aware of many games which will not be working with multi-gpu properly in some way and report respectively to amd/nvidia your problems with your setup and games, they maybe will eventually do something about it.
