I noticed there is a new chipset package as well.
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows 8.1 - 64

No time for uploading screenshots, but the QD32 random read/write speed on CrystalDiskMark using the new SATA drivers just blows away the old AMD SATA driver and MSAHCI driver in my case (5 to 10 times faster).

There's also a new PCI bus driver for the first time this year. There is no changelog for this one but I haven't noticed problems installing it.

Is anybody else having this issue? Both 32 and x64 pages links to the same file.

edit: Windows 7 x64, by the way.

Thanks for the link. AMD's was (kind of) broken, stopping the download at 17.3MB every single time.

Funny, I tried the 3 SATA drivers again this afternoon and the results are very different now. PCI bus driver or just my SSD acting weird I don't know. Performance went up on one system, for the other, changes on every test.

I'll force trim and try different PCI bus drivers if it doesn't seem to work.

    MSAHCI yesterday:
    Seq 493/207
    512K 370/205
    4K 24/40
    4K QD32 26/50

    MSAHCI today:
    Seq 451/203
    512K 336/203
    4K 6/7
    4K QD32 188/8

Does anybody know if they solved the problem with SB750 + AHCI driver not booting?

I've just installed a new SSD on a friend's system and I'm forced to either use the generic MS AHCI drivers (terrible performance) or stay at IDE mode.

    TY.

Hi, from the changelog it should be fixed:

    1.3.001.0245

    - Fix the SB700 A12 boot hang issue if PM is enabled
    - Enable MSI + CCC as one option
    - Fix the long timer DPC WHCK failure for WNGlitchfree HD Video Playback on AC
    - Added Carrizo support

You could make a restore point and try.

Tried the AMD SATA AHCI driver from this package. I have a Samsung 840 Evo 120 GB SSD.

    MSAHCI :

    AMDAHCI :

The driver seems good but the process "System Interrupts" always sat at 12 to 15 % CPU usage, so I switched back to MSAHCI drivers.

    True that.

If I can persuade him, we'll give it a try.

I can confirm this abnormal CPU usage. I'm only using SB750 for secondary HDDs, but having the new ahci driver installed causes high cpu usage on "System Interrupts" process, about ~6% vs <=0,2% with msahci when benching an HDD.

Athlonite, the AHCI driver on x:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-Omega-14.12-SB-SATA-AHCI-Win8.1-Win7\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\SB7xx\AHCI\WB64A is for every SB, not only SB700. It's been like that from some time ago, despite the dir name. From the readme.rtf:

I'm using the new AMDAHCI but I don't see "system interrupts" have abnormal CPU use. it's at 0.1% idle and when running ATTO it's like 0.4-0.6% and less.

Thanks for checking, this issue might be related only to older SB7XX MBs. The screencaps iamgamefreak posted seem also to be under a SB710.
In a few days I'll be able too check it too on a SB850.

Edit: I've just confirmed that on a SB850 the new ahci driver runs OK, keeping low System Interrupts CPU usage under use (~0,2%).

Oh, "justtesting" is my alias there, hence the same report.
    I see you're also on a SB700.
Another thread has surfaced about it (link), I guess those affected should send feedback on the suggested link.
