I use MSI afterburner 4.0, and I was using it without any problem.

Recording, OSD, stuffs are worked really well on EVERY GAMES.

But at some point, my osd doesn't work on certain steam games.

currently it doesn't work on DOTA 2 and CS:GO.

It doesn't work. not only osd, but recording too.

And It's steam overlay looks funny when msi afterburner is turned on.

First I thought it was my settings problem. So I reconfigured all settings on Afterburner and rivatuner.

But after reconfigure, reboot, and even re install doesn't work.

other valve games like l4d2, portal and 3rd party games which use steam overlay works fcking well.

I have run steam, game, afterburner on administrator.

Plz halp me, I want to record some jukes on dota 2

Steam or Origin overlays don't work with AB and in the case of Origin I think it causes some issues with BF4 and you need to disable it altogether.

sorry must be you. works fine for me.
can't say i do anything special though. i literally installed it and didn't mess with any settings except turn stealth mode on and pick which items i wanted in the OSD

edit: and yes Steam overlay does work with AB. I use it all the time.

When did that start working I have never had it work unless I disable AB?

AB works well with BF4. With Origin Overlay and Steam overlay.

Only with DOTA 2 and CS:GO it makes problem. I have disabled Steam overlay but still, not working.

Yeah it worked to me as well like yours do. But at 'certain point' it doesn't work.

I know it's really unique problem cause I couldn't find any of this kind of situation, or it's solution.

    Solved

    This is what I did.

    - Reinstall .NET
    - Delete some windows update
    - turn on EIST (I turned off EIST for performance before. I think this doesn't affect to this problem).
    - reinstall steam again.
    - delete razer synapse (all of those ingame engine stuff)

I think razer synapse was the problem.

I just knew that razer synapse has ingame engine.

    doom on you razer synapse.
