Basically 4X 120GB SSD's striped, but more reliable. Four 840 EVO's cost $320, so this thing is probably $640.
That's mighty expensive, I might just give this pcie SSD a try when I will be building a new pc rig in 2 or 3 years time.
i see an interface? witch is it? just with a fast look, i can assume that it will get to the 999$ range.
10 yrs from now ssds will be standard. HHds will still be used as secondary storage because of there size that keeps getting bigger. 16 tb by 2015 wow. Looking forward to the future. Lol
Wow, 2 GB/s read write. That is TWICE as fast as my two 512GB Crucial MX100's in raid 0... And ~ FOUR times as fast as my 840 PRO... At what point will PCIE BUS become saturated? I know with ~4 SSD's in RAID 0 sata 6g bus is close/at saturation on most chipsets.
Probably much sooner than 10 years. Most enthusiasts are already there. Even my brother has his OS on an SSD. That may be due to the fact that he gets all my hardware "hand-me-downs" though...
