I saw this and found it interesting, to say the least. http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q8xz8xKEFvU What do you think?
Google play informs you of the permissions an app requires, the flashlight app I use only requires the camera/mic, since the flashlight is tied into the camera post android 2.1 or something. Getting one that pops up saying it wants to charge you money, access loads on your phone and stuff would be pretty stupid.
Guess I'll have to search Google Play for a new flashlight app for my wife tonight. She currently uses "Brightest Flashlight"....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&hl=en_GB That's the one i've been using for years.
Also built in on Samsung and Sony roms. Could just install the CM Torch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jsf.cmprojects.cyanogenmodappinstaller&hl=en
microfone permission!!?? you are a russian spy advertising malware!!! foshure: 3eyes: Now seriously, one thing android lacks is the ability to handpick permissions and turn them off/on during instalation. i use hd widgets for everything, weather + clock + switchs, its awesome but not free tough.. notification toggle its awesome too altought simpler but free and VERY usefull
What? You want to turn it into a copy of a Blackberry OS? Surely you gest. Android is suppose to be fresh, new, alive.
Again, the issue isn't just flash light apps, it's about the Google Play store offering apps that want a **** ton of permissions that have nothing to do with their primary purpose (with a flash light being a perfect example) Just use https://f-droid.org/ for as many things as you can. Second that.
Can you repeat that. Did not quite hear you. That has been the general complaint since the introduction of the android os. To be serious or not to be serious? Neither, insanity is the only option in an insane world.
