As per the title, has anyone got anything new on the rumoured upcoming Titan replacement?

I intend to buy some as my last foray into high powered gaming PCs before switching over to laptops.

Next best thing to a titan is probably gonna be 980TI and thats probably after the 960 which got delayed to 2015.

New titan based on gm100 or 200 or whatever is probably coming rather soon as they will probably want to push out another $1000 gpu when there is no competion in sight like the original titan on release.

GM200 will be the Titan successor and it should be out at the end of the year if rumors are to be believed.. From the various articles I have read about it, speculation in the performance increase is anywhere from 35% to 50% faster than the Titan Black.

Hmm, I would like something with a bigger memory bus, so I'd be waiting to after the 980Ti if this is the case.
I like this rumour! End of the year would be nice and I'll accept a 35+% performance increase quite happily. Hopefully the same overclocking headroom will apply as for the 980.

Hopefully it's been binned as a joke to see who actually pays £1000 for a GPU like the Asus MARS and we'll never have such a retarded product released again.

The price of the 980 is where the line should be drawn, there's no need for a card to be that expensive ever outside of professional 3D environments period.

Rich people who have the money for Titan Z's tend to differ.

The last I read and heard was that the gm200 had it's tape out already, probably the cards are in the works / production by the time we are speaking. I suspect the card being ready at least for preorder around christmas, but that's just my guess.

I cant believe why a company would base product planning on a small percentage of the whole consumer base.

As long as it gives them profit I dont see why they should not.

And they have done it before, Titan/Titan Z/Titan Black.

it's niche market. If I was a premier league footballer, I'd buy 2 of them. Same goes for a lot of boutique products, you know, the bottles of whisky costing thousands of $$$.

Just waiting for the 980ti/990 here, regular 980 not good enough to warrant the upgrade.

I'd say nothing is a good upgrade for your current rig. Unless you want to do hardcore benchmarking, lol.

^I disagree, this is the perfect time to bring out another $1000 gpu, with no competition in sight.

Did you say the same thing when the original titan was released with no competition in sight from amd? in Feb 2013 to be exact.

Nvidia can release such a gpu any time and it'll sell. It really doesn't matter when it comes out, imo.

if we were to follow history GTX 680 was released in 22 march 2012 and Titan in february 19, 2013 almost 1 year between them,GTX 980 was released on 19 september 2014 and guess when the next Titan will be released!
If a Titan is ready will be released but why would nV do that?GTX 980 is selling really good so there is no point, right now,to release a Titan,no matter the market for that card.
They even postponed the GTX 960 because the 980/970 is selling really good and ppl are already dreaming of a Titan...
