So who went down the dark and long road of Windows 10? I made a backup with Acronis, upgraded to Windows 10 (took two tries) and then happily reinstalled my STX driver. So far so good! It actually gave a nice little speed bump, meaning the overall snappiness

So... are there others with success or major issues?

I installed it into a Virtual Machine. It seemed pretty nice but it's nowhere near ready to be used as an everyday OS.

Installed on first go, overall snapper than 8.1 slightly. Though the start screen/search function seems to be a bit bugged.

Other than see for yourself that it works, not really worth it to install tbh. Other than the added start menu, its pretty much windows 8.1.

No issues with hardware or games so far. On my laptop on which 10 is installed, i can now run Fc1 at very high setting vs a mixture of high and very high with out drops and at the laptops native res.

That's another option, but I'm far too lazy to just re install everything

And besides being lazy, my experiences with dual-booting and then reverting aren't great to say the least...

I was excited for it's release, excited during install, had fun for 10 minutes, never played with it since

Buggy 8.1 with a start menu and some tweaks to explorer

I installed in VM. I wouldn't waste my time re-partitioning my harddrive to install it. After spending some time with it, I doubt it'll ever get installed on my systems. I fail to see where the "start menu" is functionally superior to the start screen.

I already had a partition with Win 7 that I hadn't used in months so I installed there but I won't be using as a daily driver just to boot into every once in a while to see what updates come out as we go on.
