    Thanks :)

Know it's only a technicalpreview, but is there any word on how GPU drivers work? Will Windows 8.1 drivers work or do we have to wait for beta/alpha drivers?

Check there, Extraordinary and dave6479 got drivers for both vendors working in some form.

Proper drivers will probably be released in the next week or two.

Normally a fresh 8.1 install will auto install AMD drivers on the machine I put this on, but not this time, I tried installing 14.9, but driver detection failed or something, had to force close CCC installer and manually install them from C:\AMD via Device manager

    No idea for nVidia

you would not believe the 1 hour crap, I just put up with.

my usb port would not activate right and devices wouldn't work.

first my intel usb port wouldn't start. fixed that by removing and replugging in devices.

the via usb ports on my system would work until windows loaded and then would they shut off.

I had to roll back the driver Microsoft provided to an older driver that worked with no problems on windows 8.1 and it worked.

Driver are working, some needed to be installed from device manager itself, like the intel lan and STX II drivers.

Does anyone know a way to install Asus Xonar STX II with the apps? I managed to install driver only.

    cant install klite codec

    says incorrect regsvr version.

also seems like the changed animations.

instead of fading, pops ups seem to slide fast from the top.

    system response is really fast...

went to install some programs and installers flew..

and my sound works no problem.

I just got to get the klite thing fixed.

With a bit of tweaking, I think this new start menu will be pretty good

I'm loving Windows 10 so far! Next I want to see the lost functionality re. user accounts restored to the control panel. There was a bug in 8.1 which made file metadata read only if you accessed them through Explorer's search and it seems to be mostly fixed too .. nice! Good to see the feedback app, I used it a lot :p I hope it stays in RTM if you participate in the insider program kinda like how Xbox One has update previews.

All of my daily programs work without problems. I installed the DX 9c June '10 redists ... I thought by now that thing would be part of the OS? lol .. we've seen Win 7 SP1, 8.0, 8.1, and 8.1.1 since then.

Yep same, really liking what I see so far, they've done something clever with explorers windows shadows, it makes open windows really look like they are floating much further off the desktop than previous OSs, much easier to see which window has focus

I'm happy to see effects return, fading is also smoother from the look of it. Btw do u know how to kill the Home shortcut? I prefer going to This PC instead.

I just unpinned it and pinned This PC to the start menu instead

Just right click This PC from explorer left pane > pin to start
