    Hi
I have just upgraded my computer for gaming but it seems to be running slower than i had hoped for. For example if i have rome2 running, opening other programs seem to be slow at opening.
The Cpu Core temperature under no stress is 40c and under stress is 55 to 60c .
    Here is the setup.
    Motherboard: GA-990FXA-UD3
    Cpu: Amd fx8350
    12gb of ddr3 1333 memory
    R7 260x graphics card
    120 ssd
    1tb wd black
    coolmaster 500 psu

Also, What tools do you recommend for testing the hardware for performance?
    Cheers

I might be wrong since I never owned an AMD CPU, but aren't those a bit too high temperatures for that chip? What cooler are you using on that CPU?

Well the power requirement for the card alone is 450watt.

Id check the full load of your system. See what it comes up with. If you aren't near the top end of that 500 watt, I'd look into a 3rd party cooler and OCin'g that CPU. Other than that, you built a low-mid range system at best. Do not expect too much on a 128bit card.

In all honestly, you should have looked more at something like this for a mid-range card...this would fix a lot of your performance issues.

256bit bus, would provide you a much better experience. Honestly with today's games even at 1080p, I would not settle with a card less than 256bit bus, be it AMD/ATI or Nvidia.

I wish there was more to tell you about your current system and specs, but you are getting the correct performance. I understand you built on a budget, but that is about what you well get from your setup.

Just because it is a 2GB card, does not mean it will run fantastic. That 128bit bus is killing your gaming experience.

Also your CPU temps are fine, they could be cooler sure, but if you are using a stock AMD fan they are normal.

Also if you are afraid of your temps you could get a cheap aftermarket CPU cooler like the hyper 212 evo by Cooler Master.

    Isn't that game cpu heavy?

I know it doesn't like AMD GPU's so much, i think i had a 7870 that time and my mate had a GTX460 and he could run it pretty smooth unlike me.
