That because it's marketing BS. But September should be early enough to have stable availability and prices for a high end card around Black Friday if you're launching an actual product.

I'll maybe just upgrade psu in September then, hell i'd even go vanilla 980 /970 something I've not done since my first 580. tempted by msi 780 6gb too.

you can tell a new series is around the corner if you been checking online stores recently.
the 780 and 780ti prices are falling and i kid you not but i seen a titanB evga sc for £600 yesterday (it's back up to £750 now though).
but sure even titanB prices are comin down a lil.

it's just that 6000 ram, i can handle the rest, however Maxwell seems rad and it has uber fast ram too so just gotta wait it out like a sucker yup.
hell i'll prolly sell a card soon and get gauntlet and see if wolfenstein can be done on a single 760. i imagine Maxwell will be here for aliens iso.

Just out of curiosity I checked the shops for 780 6GB pricing. The EVGA superclocked stayed at the same price, Palit and Asus have gone up about 15€, while the MSI has skyrocketed, gaining 10% / 50+€ during the last 30 days.

Still, I'm waiting on those 9XXs and see where they go... both vram wise, and price wise. And hold out to build one, completely fresh and powerful system, at least compared to what I run now :)

few titan blacks for around £650, but seeing Hilbert's FLIR results puts me off.
    i may go single 970 classified /sc /ftw.

If you have a 780/Ti it would be worth waiting for next years true Maxwell version. 980 is faster than 780, on par with 780Ti from early leaks.

This card is more for people like myself tired of our 600 series cards and starting to see performance issues. All leaks are leaning at only GTX 970 and GTX 980 launch only, no 960 or Ti variations yet.

^ Only because it already existed as the 680 C, same for the 680 L; hard to say if that refresh will happen again for those SKUs.

JUST: Disable the "max fps" setting and performance will be fine... also, some lag is network related!
