Default nVidia 340.62 Developer beta driver - 08-23-2014, 22:36 | posts: 203

Just stumbled across these ...

Quote:
DriverVer = 07/31/2014, 9.18.13.4062
(nVidia Corp sign.) = beta driver

CUDA 6.5.14 (dunno exactly if it is the final version...or not...may be...Who knows...)

Dramatically simplify parallel programming :

*New* 64-bit ARM Support
•Develop or recompile your applications to run on 64-bit ARM systems with NVIDIA GPUs
Unified Memory •Simplifies programming by enabling applications to access CPU and GPU memory without the need to manually copy data. Read more about unified memory.
Drop-in Libraries and cuFFT callbacks •Automatically accelerate applications’ BLAS and FFTW calculations by up to 8X by simply replacing the existing CPU libraries with the GPU-accelerated equivalents.

•*New* Use cuFFT callbacks for higher performance custom processing on input or output data.
Multi-GPU scaling •cublasXT - a new BLAS GPU library that automatically scales performance across up to eight GPUs in a single node, delivering over nine teraflops of double precision performance per node, and supporting larger workloads than ever before (up to 512GB). The re-designed FFT GPU library scales up to 2 GPUs in a single node, allowing larger transform sizes and higher throughput.

*New* Improved Tools Support •Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013.
•Improved debugging for CUDA FORTRAN applications
•Replay feature in Visual Profiler and nvprof
•nvprune utiliy to optimize the size of object files

This driver is also very good for me and a keeper! Very good gaming results in Skyrim and XCOM. Installs like regular drivers with additional installation choices for developer options ... I selected drivers as well as developer components without issue.

Just like 340.72 iCafe, this driver still has that flashing issue in valley, though there's minor score increase compare to 337.50.
Back to 337.50 for now.

I know for my rig the .72's are the best.

I never had a better time driver wise.

Yes, but for me the iq seems a bit off with that 340.66 and it's not smooth enough compare to other 340 branches.

Haven't try 340.65 ogl & 340.69 grid though, so many new 340 drivers but the geforce one is yet to be seen
