Hey there, I was searching the Web trying to find some modern, decent graphics horror games with weapons such as Condemned but I couldn't find much. Please share some if you can (PC only).
    Cheers.

F.E.A.R. 2? Really liked it, not sure about third game, since it was developed by another studio. Tere's also The Darkness II but I don't know how much horror is in it.

    Barely at all.

I assume you know of the dead space series and resident evil 4?

Sorry, I saw Condemned and I thought He meant FPS games.:bang:

In that case, You are right, Dead Space is best choice (whole series, I don't get DS 3 hate, I really liked it). Alan Wake also is great, it has tense atmosphere (created by lack of ammunition) and some thrill moments, even if some people don't consider it a true horror game (although RE 4 it not any scarier and yet it's considered a horror)

fear 1 (First game where it totally creeped me out and that ending shocked me!)
Fear 2 (decent sequel, performs very well, not as good as first)

Stay away from Fear 3 its total garbage.

Try some of the mods for HL such as

    Cry Of Fear
    and
    Haunted House 1 and 2.

Resident Evil 1 -3 but they are pretty old now, there's a remake for 1 for Gamecube but you can use that on PC with the dolphin emulator
    STALKER is horror somewhat

And if you don't mind bad controls you can try Alone in The Dark and Silent Hill (Homecoming and Downpour, sicne you want new games).

+1 for Alone in the Dark. The controls were awful but you get used to them and it was a pretty fun game.

Thanks guys, I'm sure someone who like horror games will appropriate this thread. It worth mentioning that the games (horror or horror-ish) I played and liked are: Fear 1+2, manhunt, Alan Wake, Condemned, Dead Space (all), Metro (all) and The Forest.

if you want to play some older games, try Clive Barker's Undying. On of the scariest games i've played

I can't play games that look so old I don't enjoy it... but since so many mentioned it I'll give it a go.

I second this, such a fantastic game.

Parts of the Thief games could be pretty messed up also, Thief 3's Cradle level is one of the best horror themed areas I've ever played in a game. VTM: Bloodlines also has some decent horror sequences, the Hotel mission comes to mind.

FEAR is great.. although there are a lot of problems running it on a modern setup, so make sure you google around a bit (especially the disabling HID in Device Manager, which really really helped). Fear 3 was absolutely the worst of the series, but still decent enough to warrant playing the short campaign to wrap the series up.

Condemned: Criminal Origins is also another great singleplayer horror shooter, but it is also plagued with the same problems FEAR has on modern setups (same engine).

The Thief series is one of my all time favorite series and can definitely be listed as a "horror" game, although not so much in the 3rd or 4th (reboot) ones as the first 2 were. Thief isn't so much of a shooter though.. you get bow and arrows, but you really don't want to run around like it's a shooter.

You should try Resident Evil 6, didn't play it that much but from what i've played it seems like a great horror game, the game has a RE 3 vibe to it which is good imo for any resident evil game.

No one mentions Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason anymore. Great game, little buggy. Miasmata is another that you could try or the penumbra or Amnesia series but no guns there.
Also Dead Island but it's more action than horror. You didn't say you had played Doom3 or Quake4. Day-Z, L4D or Clive Barker's Jericho.
