Anyone else get a beta key and this stupid game to actually run? The loading screen literally took 5 minutes to get past, then after that I hit a button to play and got a "failed to connect to the notifcation service" message and I can't proceed or quit.. Forced to Ctrl-Alt-Del my way out of it. Upon trying again it just sits on the loading screen "Loading saved data" and never does. I let it sit there for 8 minutes.. Nothing. And Ubisoft are so dumb that they won't activate your forum access until 12-24hrs AFTER you redeem your key.. So I can't report that I can't run their beta for 12-24hrs.. BRILLIANT! Ubisoft can't even get betas right
Was searching for this thread but couldn't find it, thanks for making one. I got a invite too, been playing a little bit. The tuning store is very buggy, if i buy stuff i can't get out of the shop it just gets stuck. But the game isn't fully downloaded yet, i hope that's causing it and not the game. It runs pretty good on my ****ty rig, it's 30fps locked though. Cranked everything to ultra and 4x msaa and it still stays at 30fps. I'm sure they will remove the fps lock later cause you can change it in the video options but it's locked too.
I finally got it to play but I get a weird shader anomaly on SLI. Had to run single card. Seriously.. This games loading process is PAINFUL.. By the time the game actually is playable I don't even want to play it anymore. It literally takes 40 seconds from the time I hit play in Uplay before the game even launches.. Then the in game loading screen is the bane of my existence.. One time I got to play it made it through fine.. Next, I'm back to being stuck on the loading screen. Then I quit Uplay client and restarted it and got right through Anyway.. Graphics: Super average.. Looks like NFS Hot Pursuit/Burnout Paradise era graphics. Game play: I was bored after the second tutorial. The waypoint system is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a driving game. Instead of your typical marker on the payment showing where to go and turn there is a floating blue strip hovering in the air over the road. It's the most ridiculous looking thing I've ever seen.
Yea the graphics aren't the greatest. But i like the game so far, i'll play it more when i finish downloading it.
I still haven't got a key, I figured owning games on Uplay would give me an advantage but I guess not, any kind soul in here have an extra code? it would be greatly appreciated.
How about driving physics? I know it is arcade, but still would love to see somewhat realistic driving model. can you drift RWD cars? if anyone got board with their beta of the crew, please share beta key )))))))
Got my key day after the beta started, just played the first mission wasn't bad is there any graphics options?
Sucks that the game is locked at 30 FPS, unless I'm overlooking something? EDIT; nevermind figured it out. \User\Documents\The Crew had a file called PCScalability, changed it to 60.
Should be a couple. Though I'll be honest, HBAO+ seems to create a black halo around people walking about which looks really weird. After removing the FPS lock my game runs around 60 FPS in New York so I'll take it. Decent performance for such a wide scale.
I have mixed feelings about this one. I don't quite like the handling and the engine sounds are not right...but i do like country side racing.
Just another crappy NFS type game with nothing going for it, graphics are years behind the times and so is gameplay Got bored in less than 20 minutes
i kinda like the game tho im more of a sim racer and this game is nowhere near that but im enjoying it
