    The limp status of AMD chipsets and CPUs is making this happen. Look at that marketing:

    "Impoved Thermal Interface (TIM)" first, the stuff being used on Ivy and Haswell chips is inferior to what was used on </=Sandy there is no debate on that (talking about socket 1155/1150 chips). "Improving" upon what they screwed is not a feature. But again, we are not talking about dramatic differences between 1155 Sandy TIM and 1150 Haswell TIM. There is a difference but it is not massive.

    "Updated packaging materials" - now you are right at the bottom of the barrel scraping really, really hard.

    Pentium K - anniversary edition, 20th IIRC, could be good for the lolz.

    Intel are having a hard time with 14 nm I read this as. And we had a 4GHz chip ages ago: 3970X.

    so? Theyre just returning what they took away from the cpu's after sandy.
    couldnt they just ship them delided already?
