I have a MSI 7970 boost edition. http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/msi_radeon_hd_7970_twinfrozr_iii_boost_edition.html and the issue is the HDMI is not working. it doesnt work when having the dvi plus the hdmi used and it doesnt work on its own either. nothing happens when i plug monitor/tv to it. have tryd 2 displays with 2 different cables and nothing is detected.
MSI has had problems with the HDMI ports going bad with the 7950s and 7970s. I have had to RMA 3 7950s because of bad HDMI ports, I always noticed horizontal thin blue lines that appered before the ports died.
Try holding the HDMI cable in any one of 9 directions (think of a game controller's D-pad) for a at least 3 seconds - maybe something is just loose.
well i had never used it, i just removed the little blue plastic covering on the hdmi port but it does look like it simply is not working. and i did try abit of pressure to all sides to see if it was a bad conection issue. re-installed drivers, installed realtek ati hdmi drivers, uninstalled hdmi audio driver from amd, nothing works.
