From the article:
Thief, the latest Mantle-based game release, shows a similar story; an advantage for AMD (using driver version 14.2) over the GTX 780 Ti with R331 and R334, but NVIDIA’s card taking the lead (albeit by a small percentage) with the upcoming driver.

From the article, just like Mantle, you should see improvement on games that are CPU limited because of the D3d11 overhead.

1 of the best test is Star Swarm.

Can't comment more (nda).

Wow, looks like we might see 15-20% boost in CPU heavy games and even others with some luck... impressive.

Yeah, guys please make sure to do some benches on that one, before and after. I'd be curious to see the differences. Hoping there'll be noticeable gains.

As always with this things (being shown a graph telling us of performance increases in drivers), I'll believe it when I actually see it on my PC giving me these "huge performance increases".

And yet there are no results for it in this chart lol.. Seeing is believing

Although those Draw, vertex & index buffer speedups look interesting.

Ugh,I hate misleading graphs like that Thief one. It looks like a 20% jump from 290x to 780Ti new, when it's really 55 fps vs 59 fps. Star swarm is impressive though.

I see, so ~ 4fps boost in Thief and ~10fps boost in starswarm vs r334.. Not bad

I hope its a smooth driver without any bs jitter/hickup etc.

I'm so looking forward to it though. IMO, I can't help but say it, this makes AMD look bad. They obviously knew about DX12 and and now these new DX11 improvements in drivers, and tried to steal the spot light with Mantle. Then try to make it look like they are the ones that started this trend and everyone else is just copying. Am I supposed to believe that mere months after Mantle comes out for one game, DX12 and these drivers where made in that brief time? Lol, ok.
