Default The Guru3D Console Screenshot Thread - 12-07-2013, 02:05 | posts: 668 | Location: Australia

Not being a mod, I'm just going to cut and paste the same rules from the PC thread (Thanks to hallryu) and add a couple new one's.

Quote:
Rules:

1) The rules are absolute and no exceptions are allowed. Breach the rules and you will face the consequences, no matter what.

2) No complaints about multiple screenshots from the same game being posted. This means absolutely no flaming, fighting or similar.

3) No spam. This thread is not going to function as a post count increaser. This is a thread for people to share pictures from their favourite games, not for general chit-chat. On-topic discussion of the images posted is however allowed.

4) If you see 50 screenshots from a game you hate posted in a row - simply ignore them. No one's interested in reading your rants. If you don't have anything positive or constructive to say, shut the hell up.

5) To keep the thread length at a reasonable level, I'm going to cap the pictures per post at 10 - TEN - T-E-N. Ten (10) images per post.

6) To keep the thread clean I would prefer THUMBNAILS of huge images. This means that if your images are larger than 1280x1024, you're either going to have to resize them, link to a THUMBNAIL of the original picture or use SPOILER TAGS.

7) In case you feel like you have to post a screenshot that reveals an ending or an important turning point of the game, please put use SPOILER TAGS.

8) Stupidly massive PNGs and JPGs are hereby banned from this thread. Keep the file size below 1MB, preferably below 500KB.

9) If you can't follow the above rules, the life of this thread, and your membership here at Guru3D will be short. Very short.

10) Please either use the post title or body to list the game and console. This eliminates useless posts simply asking what game it is or what system it's on.

PS4 Share Button Hints & Tips
•At launch only Facebook and Twitter are able to be linked to your account for video and screenshot sharing.
•For Facebook videos you can export them them with a video downloader such as Freemake Video Downloader (and then upload to Youtube etc)
•For Facebook screenshots, you can right click the picture and open in a new tab. This will give you the full resolution (albeit with Facebook's compression) image.
•For screenshots uploaded to Twitter, you can change the end of the url from 'large' to 'orig' to get the original resolution.
•A workaround for the current best quality screenshots requires you to send the picture via a message on your PS4. If the message is viewed with the Playstation App on your tablet or phone, it can then be saved (with less compression than Twitter and FB) and uploaded to wherever you choose.

Kicking things off with probably the best looking next-gen game in my opinion.

Yeah it's pretty amazing. I was actually expecting it to lose some LOD during gameplay (the new FIFA and NBA Live look crap until you zoom in via a replay and see the models increase in poly count and texture resolution), but NBA 2K14 on PS4 looks just as stunning during gameplay cams.

You hold share buttong for a second right to take a shot? Can you take full res? then copy to your PC?

I was hoping someone would show off Killzone, by far the best looking next gen game ive played on either the PS4 or XBOne

Some tips for the PS4 sharing...

Quote:

Originally a Vita game, Escape Plan is a decent little puzzle game. Uses the PS4 controller's touchpad and also the speaker

I don't agree with the $20 pricetag though, especially with even more DLC for sale.

Awesome GT shots!

I know those are photo mode enhanced etc but even in gameplay the car models seem so much more detailed than even Xbox One Forza.

Tried out the f2p War Thunder on PS4.

Doesn't look as good as it should compared to some high res PC screens I just googled but it is fun.

Shot some other players out of the sky, can't argue with that for free

The tree leaves in Forza 5 look ps2 level graphically. One big texture of crap. It's like they focused completely on the level of detail for the cars and nothing else.
