Some may love it or hate it. For me, I used it from the beginning and I can start looking for a replacement (Foobar2000? AIMP?).
What would happen to Shoutcast?

Was my favorite for a long loong time. Well it still will be, 5.66 looks stable enough..

I just found new great plugins (maiko wasapi.dll and dsp enhancer v0.17)and finally discovered how to manually tweak skins *(xfi skin mod)

started using it in 1998 until about 5-6 years ago when it just became a bloated/awkward to use mess, i dont know if it changed after that but before that it was my favourite compact and tidy mp3 player for PC.

Now i just use XBMC on my media centre and crappy WMP on my gaming PC.

Shame its going but i can see why.

I used to use Winamp all the time back in the early to mid 2000's. From what I remember it became kind of bloated. Still, it always sucks to see a small company go under.

it was good program back then, but the lack of vision cut them off guard. Foobar 2000, j river, ASIO, wasapi etc... player changed a lot and winamp stayed the same.

I still use winamp after all these years , tried others but always came running back. I wont use another program either unless it stops working or shows bugs.
