Default need help upgrading - 08-07-2013, 06:44 | posts: 3

hello guys , right now im running a i7 950 with a evga x58 ftw3
so obviously im starting to think about a new computer.

looking at a 4770k so i want a good z87 mobo, price aint really a matter ...
the problem i have when looking at high end motherboard , they dont come with any PCI slot , and i do have a HT|Omega claro halo that i love. i use a sennheiser pc-350 for headset (150 ohm)

would the super high end mothercard (mpower max , maximus VI , G1 sniper 5 etc...) have a kinda similar sound (they all praise their semi onboard sound card) , if not , what would be the best mobo with a PCI slot (is the asrock fatality any good ?)

thanks

Why do you feel the need to upgrade?I think you still have a good bundle there. Is that cpu overclocked?

2 reasons
-some of the part still worth some money , better sell them right now lol

- the x58 chipset dont support native sata3 , the board come with a marvell controller , but im getting better result with my vertex 4 in the native sata 2.

Intel dropped PCI support on the Z87 chipset. If there are any mainboards with PCI, they have a 3rd party chip for that.
