The 4930K looks like the sweet spot there. The 4960X is overpriced as usual, and the 4820k probably won't offer much over a 4770K.

Not worth upgrading the older i7 39XX. Hope these overclock worse than the old ones bring on Haswell-E and DDR4 please!

Well since it's basically a just a refresh of course it's not a big leap, but I too hope that Haswell-E will bring on serious horsepower when it launches. That's what I'd like to upgrade to.

The only thing that's worth it is +50% less power consumption, we all know how power hungry SB-E is.

10 watts of difference, so what? The 3930k stomps on it performance wise. I wouldn't even notice 10Watts reflected in my power bill.

Im not sure if I follow, I meant SB-e vs IB-e power consumption. Its literally 50% less compared to SB-e (early leaks).

Imo that's the only good thing about IB-e and maybe worth upgrading to.

So any info if IB-E will use solder between the IHS or will it be like standard IB cpus? Can't be too much longer for these. Asus just released a new bois for my X79 Sabertooth that adds new CPU support.

Aye, someone delidded one, it has solder. I honestly don't think they could get away with skimping on what can be server chips.
