Question Gaming computer - 07-17-2013, 21:38 | posts: 32 | Location: Iowa

hello, I hope i posted this in the right thread. I have a question to ask all of you. I have to move out of state so, I need to find a home for my desktop Gaming Rig. What I want to know is, How much do you think I can sell it for? i looked on ebay and alot of similar or inferior systems are going for around 2000-3000. and sense this is a tech site that should know more about it then people on ebay I'd like for some advice on the value of this system.. my specs are:

intel Core i5 2500k OC 4.8ghz @ v1.45
Corsair H60 rev 2 w/ push/pull (stock 902 Antec blue led 120mm fan and 120mm Coolermaster R4)
Gigabyte Z77x-UD4H
Corsair Vengeance CL9 8GB DDR3 1866mhz
2x OCZ Vertex 4 256gb ssds (512gb raid 0)
Western digital Black 1TB 7200rpm secondary HDD
2x Gigabyte Windforce 3 Radeon hd 7950s in Crossfire
Sound Blaster Recon 3D pcie
Corsair HX850 850watt PSU
Antec 902 Case
Samsung Syncmaster P2770 27Inch 1080p LCD monitor

I clean it inside and out once a week. Barely any dust at all inside . it has dust filters on all intakes. Ill be formatting the hard drives and selling it without a OS.. would asking 2000-3000 like similar systems are going for off ebay be too much? its about what I spent on all the parts and LCD. also move this thread to where you see fit (sorry if its in the wrong place)

Thanks!

What kind of system is going for $3K on eBay?? That is a lot of moo-la.

My guesstimate is around $1200 for your rig, I may be a little off tho since I live in New Zealand and USA prices may be different.

But that's about what it's worth here.

$1500 with the monitor maybe. gpu`s are strong, sound card, 2 ssd, decent cpu, ram, mb. you would make more parting it out tbh

thanks for the replies how i came to that conclusion was from looking at a few ads here and there maybe they are asking too much themselves on ebay? lol

here are some examples:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-End-Gam...item27d4b52ecb - ($2500 ..similar performance to mine but i have better ssds...)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Built...item4d0de24620( more ram then mine but lesser cpu... also $2500 and no screen..again only 1 ssd)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-FX-8150-...item4600a167c7 (one for 2000 has a lesser cpu as well and again lacking in storage and has slower ram as well..)

so i should part it out? it'd be alot easier for me to just sell it as a whole but well see, thanks again

Those are new pc. Yours is used. Parting out will net more money but selling as a complete system will potentially sell quicker. Though most people would not buy a complete used rig.

Pretty similar to mine, only you have 1 more ssd and one more 7950, used they can be had for around 300 put together. would value my rig at 700 max so I'd say 1000 for yours world be fair.

This system also comes equipped with 16GB of 1333Mhz DDR3 Memory. Most systems only have 667Mhz memory which is slower, but this system has full speed 1333Mhz DDR3 memory.
I hate lying little fuks like this A55HOLE. If I had an eBay account I'd send him a message.
