I can not stand trailers like these. Showing nothing of the game, other than to premote something that's not even finished yet. The new COD: Ghosts trailer was the worst one ever for showing me nothing!

id Tech5 is more than welcome because they'll use all the new fx goodies.
Only problem I have with tech5 is:
TOO MUCH HDD usage.
In Steam download there was about 24 GB for RAGE.
I was OK with it but then I realised the game was too short for that much space required.
It needs HDD optimization.
Better Bethesda than EA.

They are the publisher most likely, Id could be the developer or it would be one of the other studios that Zenimax / Bethesda has now acquired.
(As above IDTech5 seems like a likely candidate of game engine.)

It's being developed by MachineGames.

Quote:
The FPS is set during Europe during 1960, in a timeline in which the Nazis won World War 2, and B.J. Blazkowicz is instructed to launch a counter-offensive against the evil doers.

Players will enter Nazi strongholds, battle enemies, control “super weapons” in which the suited foes use to “dominate earth and beyond.”

“We are excited to bring a new chapter of Wolfenstein to gamers everywhere,” said Jens Matthies, creative director at MachineGames in the press release. “As fans of the series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to create an unforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.”

In development at MachineGames as rumored earlier this year, the studio is made up of former Starbreeze Studios members.

Bethesda teased the announcement earlier today.

I still remember Return to castle wolfenstein well back then, bought it immediatly ti'll i found out about the zombies in it and skipped it for Medal of honor allied assault,i rather see a good world war 2 game with authentic missions. But i must admit rtcw multiplayer was allot of fun back then.

Every other rock in RAGE had its own texture...in their original form, the textures would have been 1 TB or something. So the 100GB version of RAGE would probably have looked like a contemporary PC game...

Borderline killzone 3 screenshots there.

Not holding by breath on this one even though it looks good, however that trailer looked like it was an advert for Castrol Oil...until robots.

Personally I'm pretty hyped for this. I'm a really big Wolfenstein fan.
With Return to Castle Wolfenstein being my all time favorite, the last Wolfenstein being right behind it.

I'll buy it at once. But, I'm a little on the fence about one thing. MachineGames. I know they are formed out of Starbreeze employees, and while I loved Riddick and The Darkness. Those games had pretty meh combat.
A lot of that I put up being engine issue, as it's a issue that carried in to the next Wolf and even The Syndicate.

With them using idTech5 I'm having hopes they'll be able to make use of the engine's awesome feel. And really deliver on some solid combat.
