soooo, interesting thought. They say 93% of their launch was pirates, will their company go bankrupt as depicted in their title?
Would that player base move to purchasing their game if they weren't dealing with a tweaked version that forced failure?
I'm not defending piracy but I do think there's an over reaction towards piracy and a failure for companies to look at themselves for blame when things go wrong.

Yeah...been playing that for hours on my Note 2.
I was actually thinking it was the same game as the mobile one from the same devs but nope, a rip-off.

Funny yet someone will realease a crack/fix that fixes that and then who will be laughing?

Stuff is pirated so much cause this constant drm crap, and
CD Projekt Red Studio creator of witcher are the only people that realize this. DRM junk only hurts the people that buy the stuff people that pirate it it means nothing too seeing most likely have the drm removed anyway. Im all for protecting your stuff but when your DRM cause more issue and harm then good to the people that actual buy the stuff. then the people who pirate it and dont have to deal with the drm then you have a problem you created your self.

i dont think they need to apologize at all. They are asking for what they deserve. Theres nothing wrong with it.

Their stance is against DRM and provide the user a DRM-free game. Against DRM does not make them a pro-pirate game company. They should be against pirates.

@chanw4, I agree. I don't see anything wrong with simply sending a letter to the people who pirated the game.(especially if its a very large amount of pirated copies)

Just as many people if not more would pirate games if they were all DRM free.

It was more than letters, they hired law firms to chase after people.

Of course, this is all past and they're not doing it anymore.

Yep.

We really have to differentiate between those who pirates and those who cracks the DRM; they are very, very rarely one and the same.
Those who seeks to get something for free will just keep trying to get it for free; a game being DRM-free won't change that one bit.
Those who pirates 'just to try first because there's no demo' (and actually bought the game later if he/she really likes it) are the idealist minority.
Those who pirates 'on principles' however are the stupid majority, which usually consists of professional bullsh!tters and/or hypocrites, often conveniently forgets that games are not part of the human basic needs.

Though I do agree about the notion that DRM (often) does more harm to legit users than pirates.
