I'm no mathematician, and it's great that it can spot a tennis ball traveling mach 3 at 25 km, but even if it spotted said tennis ball at 25 km I'm pretty sure at mach 3 it's too late for it to do anything about it. It would be to the ship in about 1.17 seconds.

pffff.... Show me one that can spot a FLY from 25km and then we talk.. Now they just need to find a supersonic fly of course.

May I recommend those two below?

That's why Britain and the other members of the Eurofighter team never went with stealth tech.

It's pretty useless. I read somewhere that they hope to get this tech to 100+ Km.

It's best usage atm is in line with goalkeeper systems to shoot down Exocet type anti-ship missiles. What ever happens in the future we never again want another HMS Sheffield.

You're off by a factor of ~20.

You have almost half a minute before it arrives.

Sea Level @ 15C MACH 3 ~ 1,020.81 m/s

25,000 1,020.81 = 24.49 seconds

That is more than enough time for automated targeting systems to react.
