Quote:
505 Games has announced that Sniper Elite 3 is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and next-generation platforms in 2014.

The company notes that “following the worldwide success of Sniper Elite and Sniper Elite V2 released on PC, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, 505 Games believe in the extremely high potential of this brand." 505 says that Sniper Elite V2 "gained a great worldwide success around 1.1 million copies" sold "since the April 2012 launch to the end of December.”

Exact details on Sniper Elite 3 have yet to be announced, though more info should follow in the weeks to come.
(Rebellion self-published the PC version of Sniper Elite V.2 so they might do the same with this.)

That's if there is a PC version, lol. They might not bother if they have 4 different console platforms covered.

That said, it's possible that future games will be Xbox Next ports (since it should be a much simpler process this time around), which will suck if not 'professionally' done. Professionally as in properly make use of the extra PC power (and not just things to cripple performance that aren't beneficial like in Crysis 3 and every other game out there), and of course better textures etc.

I'm playing V2 right now and I have mixed feelings about it. The first part of the Mittelwerk Facility that's outdoors was simply brilliant. I killed everyone without being noticed by using the loud noises as a distraction. Just had to plan when to pull the trigger so that the guys would fall dead where nobody would see their corpses. I almost felt like I was playing Hidden and Dangerous 2 again. I was disappointed not to have the same freedom in the second part of that mission or the museum level that followed (I haven't gotten any further). Really need a scoped De Lisle for this game and a silenced sten smg.

Look into my eyes, you will not downgrade your gaming platform...ever!

PC is their favoured platform so it will come.

Edit: Confirmation, it is coming to PC

Just then, it too was hit square in the hard-drive, this time with a bullet direct from the Rebellion rifle. This one had the message: “Hello, yes Sniper Elite 3 is coming to PC too. It’s just we’re self-publishing it. Like we did with all the other Sniper Elite games.” It was a much larger bullet.

Dont know what difficulty your playing on but the game is much better on the hardest and more immersive.

Well don't get me wrong, I really do love the sniping with the windage and elevation adjustments (I play on sniper elite) and like I said, I haven't gotten that far yet in the campaign. I just hope that there are more situations like the one I described where I can play a bit more with the AI rather than be forced into a shooting gallery scenario. The x-ray kill cam, while initially gimmicky, is quite grimly satisfying too.

Yeah the killcam is great, I get bored of games quite quickly, Even the very best games, however this game kept me gripped from start to finish which is quite rare and i wanted even more!!
