I'm just curious as of what kind of screen people are using here to game on.

TV or PC monitor.

Monitor.

My TV isnt suited very well for pc gaming, ive tried it. My monitor has higher quality , faster response time, higher resolution and Hz. always have to use under/overscan.
I also play some FPS online where i prefer to use a mouse and keyboard on my desk.
Sitting / laying on the couch is much more relaxed though. Which i do with my consoles.
I do have a pc hooked up to my TV though, mainly for music and movies.
Got a few games installed , but i rather not game on that, since its got my 4870x2 (aka the Boeing 747) in it.

IPS 16:10 Panels galore do have a IPS First Gen Full Array LED LCD which I been having a hard time upgrading most new TV's are actually lacking less ports (HDMI) and cheap Edge Lit. For 3 years old I am surprised how backwards TV tech has been going compared to 3 yr old High END.

Only things TVs have changed is HZ non sensible rating of Contrast Ratio To find Actual Typical Contrast/Brightness is a pain in the ass. Most TVs touting over 120hz use a Simulated 240-480hz and not true levels. Tvs are getting lighter but so are the specs as well. unless u want a 50-80 TV then we are pretty much the same or better but if ur like me and have a limited spot for a TV. Smart TV and 3D are both functions I dont use either so hmm

Didn't even have to. Once I enabled it's overdrive feature in Counter-Strike: GO and some UT/Quake I instantly noticed it was a bit snappier then the Samsung.

As far as I can remember the fastest 27 inch monitors are the iiyama and the ASUS. The Benq 24 inch was a tiny wee bit faster.

http://be.hardware.info/reviews/3038...d-en-input-lag

Without Overdrive it's average but once enabled it's really nice. The review is in dutch, look for the "Reactietijd OD".

Any game that requires a mouse and Keyboard, my 28in Hanns-G does the job.

Any game that works with a xbox 360 joybad, my 60 in plasma.

Mainly use an LG 27" passive 3D TV, its an ace PC monitor and the 3D is very good.
Also a Panny Plasma 42" for special occasions now, the 27" is that good (and much closer).
Oh and the 27" uses around 10% of the power lol (30 to 40W vs 300 to 400W).

Both have very low lag.
3D adds a bit though but that must be from PC processing because the TV doesnt care what is passed to it.
No TV processing is done in native 3D because its line interleave which the PC passes to it.
