Happens with stock crossfire and overclocked crossfire 7950s.
i had this same issue exact same issue with crysis 3 untill beta 7 or was it 6 that fixed the lockups with crossfire on crysis.
i know that tombraider is in no way shape or form requires more than crysis 3 does. crysis 3 is competely stable for me now after the fix. but tombrailder is crashing ramdomly with a cfx.dll module freeze/ sound looping driver has been recovered error.
PLEASE FIX THIS AMD/ATI as i was enjoying tombraider in its 3D glory looks amazing haha
Anyone getting the same issue as me ?

display driver stopped responding and has recovered, waiting for a fix.

well smooth and clear both crysis 3 and tomb raider here... have you tried fresh OS install those with crashes, it seems destroyed driver locations...

I don't know why ppl keep suggesting a fresh OS install or format, that wont ever fix a hardware fault and that's doing things the long/hard way.
There is no proper tweaked profile for Tomb Raider as yet, similar to far cry 3 for me with this error, no issues with Crysis 3 tho... are you able to play far cry 3 ok in single and multi player?
0xc0000005 is a hardware and instability fault with the application, until they release the above all you can do is perhaps try returning all your overclocks cpu, ram, video etc to stock and do a quick test.
or
Try/test a non beta driver(probs redundant).

Crashes seem to have stopped with single card, played over an hour.

tryed stock and overclocked still crashes randomly.
its not my oc as i can play all my other games without crashes or drivers not responding its defiantly the game that needs a ati driver fix just like crysis 3 did.

Ok figured out what my crashes where being caused by :TRESSFX
if its disabled i can play with crossfire forever just played 2+hours of tomb not a single crash.
there where erratic frames dips but everyone is experiancing weird frames drops in places for no apparent reason.
also linked to tressfx aswell, this tech need major optimizing and bugfixes as its causing loads of issues with 7 series cards... strange.
BTW just to point out this game is awesome hahaha.
they really have went to town with the 3D stereoscopic its utterly amazing and looks uber amazing, i would say its better looking than crysis 3 and it looks great in 3d aswell.
