Well, the Denon one seems to be ok, and the onkyo. The yamaha ones are micro system, so it won't be as good as a dedicated system.
The second hand gear I didn't know was second hand. However, it does sound like a good deal...

Well, I don't buy second hand speakers, but others here do, so it should be ok. Remember, unless you know the previous owners, you're not gonna know how hard they've been pushed or if there is a problem with the woofer etc... Buying brand new is alot safer, even though it might not be as good sound. Go the ONKYO imo, it looks great and the specs are very good
regards,
RagDoll.

That will be great, congrats Take time to set it up, don't rush, and once is all up and running, there are settings we can advise you to get even better sound. The sub placement is key to good bass, along a wall and it increases, diagonal to a corner of a room will give you the best bass, usually Also, don't run even half full volume for a couple of days, this is called the burn in period, because the drivers need to ease up a bit when they're brand new One last thing is, crossover settings, but we will come to that once you've got your new gear
Cheers,
RagDoll.

I have an Onkyo TX-NR807 sitting around if you want to buy it. It's a pretty stout unit. Just had the HDMI board replaced/upgraded.

Speaker postioning can make or break a speaker system.
How are you going to be connecting the receiver to your PC?

Well the multi-channel input is a great way to go. However, if you are refering to a vanilla Titanium, I would go with something a little newer and higher end.

I had 2 of them in the past, i had asus ones and the Titanium is the best out of them.
But that's what my ears tell me.
If i get lucky and sell my HT system i might be able to get a high end soundcard.
