Smile New speakers for Sound blaster Z - 02-13-2013, 13:36 | posts: 441 | Location: Middle Earth

Dear Friends,

Now it's time to retire my old Speakers and buy new 2.1 channel. My old Logitech X 540 5.1 channel is giving problems. The volume control is faulty and not functioning properly. As I live in a apartment now raising volume is not accepted very cordially. So I am trimming down to 2.1 channel. From my market I have these options.

1. Creative Inspire T3130.
2. Creative I triuge L 3800
3. Altec lansing - Octane 7 VS4621
4. Altec lansing - VS2721
5. Sonicgear - Armaggeddon - A5
6. Logitech - Z313

Only these models are available in my area and under my price range.

Also I am buying SoundBlaster -Z end of this month. I'll use the speakers primarily for TV shows, Movies and Gaming (last).
Please help me decide.

I would get either the Creative I triuge or the Altec Octane 7. For that price range they offer passable sound quality.

I don't know if much has changed but from what I recall, Creative brand speakers were not good quality at all.

Well, in that price range you don't get good speakers. You can consider yourself lucky when the satellites don't sound like you are pissing in a metal bucket and the bass is remotely clean, means it's not booming so badly you have to turn it down.

Well I can spend from $50 - $100 no problem. But there are very few real nice model round that range . Logitech Z623 cost almost $200 hare that's abit out of my budget and also quite expensive for a 2.1.

I know you're on a budget but you will be crazy not to look at Klipsch speakers. I have their Pro-Media 2.1 speakers and they rival many high end home theater systems.

I have the Sound Blaster ZXR on pre-order from NewEgg. I have the Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro. But my Klipsch speakers are currently using onboard sound since I moved the Elite Pro to one of my other computers which has an old Boston Acoustics 2.1 speaker setup. I will be upgrading that computer to Klipsch 2.1 within the next month.

Trust me...check out Klipsch before you commit to anything. Look on eBay for a deal.

I think you meant to say they are NOT available where you live. That's unfortunate. Sorry, I have no experience with the items in your list. But good luck.

Check these out. I know you said 2.1 but these will not be very loud.

If 2.1 is a must then check these out.

already Got My Sound BLaster Z. As I am coming From X-FI Extreme music, I can say that Now in music I can identify the small details. Very Good.

Any one using 5.1 channel with sound blaster Z. Under Windows 7 X-Fi EM was horrible with my Logitech X 540 5.1 . How the sound quality of rear and
Center with Sound blaster Z under Windows 7 And Windows 8. Currently Using Creative Gigaworks T20. Very good sound but lacks Bass as there is no sub woofer.

The Logitech Z 506 is very popular model in my country.

http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/produc...-speakers-z506

Also The creative T 6200.

http://in.creative.com/products/prod...&product=17987

Both models are close to $100 (+ - ).

(Sorry for My Tarzan english)

Default Speakers for Creative Z - 01-27-2014, 07:46 | posts: 2

I recently bought these...

Klipsch THX-certified ProMedia 2.1 computer speakers to go with my Soundblaster Z card. and it's the most crystal clear, pure, 200watt system I have ever heard.

These are twice as much as your budget at $179.00, but save your money and get these.

I bought mine at Best Buy.

Have a good one!!!
