Win7 64 bit ultimate - 128gb SSD

500gb with 2 partion

400gb storage

Which leave about 80gb I never used on the other partion

IS it possible to say Put say Win8 on that 80gb partion and duel boot from the SSD and hdd I fiqure I give win8 another go when 8.1 pop out and see if it fixes what I hated and made me say win7 the new xp

Even better would be If I could just hit f8 pick boot device and tell the pc to boot from the 80gb partion I would put the OS on and if I dont it would just boot to 7

Hitting F8 gives you the choice to boot from a device, not from a partition. That is how i handle my dual boots,i don't mess a lot with bootloaders.

Installing whatever OS on that partition will create the necesity of a bootloader.
Yes,you can install Win8 there, but before do a back up and make yourself a live cd/usb with Plop Bootmanager.
Will give you the posibility to choose the device AND the partition from where you want to boot to.Then get to your "old"OS and add a entry to your bootloader;EasyBCD is what you will need.

what about I disconnect my SSD isntall it to the partion on the HDD get that all setup. Then reconnect my SSD Then use f8 to pick the HDD instead of it auto booting to the SSD. I think this is what I did last time I had 2 OS, just dont think I had more then one partion on drive
