New Battlefield 4 information seemingly leaked by EA China...

Quote:
Coming October 23rd, 2013
commander system comes back
profile can be linked with other devices like ipad
auto login, need internet all time, support cloud saves
easier to pickup the game, to take care of players from CoD
support body and voice control for this commander system
better battlelog integration and better stats reporting
supports video playback and sharing
have gem store for dlc and other stuff like that
3 factions: russia, usa and china
can deploy female soliders
frostbite 2.0 engine
pc, ps4 and xbox 720 supports 64 player maps
360 and ps3 will be less
pc, ps4 and 720 will provide 60 fps
already have a demo video internally within EA,
matching the quality of BF3 already
bf4 will use 80% of power of frostbite 2, wheras bf3 only 30-40%
modern story background

By that date it will be 2 years since BF3 came out, so this could be true but since there are also rumors it will launch together with one of the next consoles we'll have to wait and see.

Nah. Most likely everything is fake except release date, which is not hard to gues as CoD is getting released around that time every year and EA has to release some FPS to have something to compete with CoD.

That next year could mean next financial year (which includes calendar 2013) as it was during an earnings call.

Honestly, I'd rather hear news on Mirror's Edge 2 instead of the next BF installment.

Had arround 500 played hours in BC2, in BF3 it was under 100 with DLCs and all... so yeah BC3 sounds good but will probably never happen and BF will become a new release every 2 years but with several DLCs before the next release etc. I'm fine with that IF they keep the quality bar high enough.

Why do they keep developing these games this fast?

I bought BC2 pretty much when it came out and I still feel it hasn't lived its life yet.
Why don't they keep adding content, instead of developing the same game with a different engine but 100% same gameplay?

Maybe I'm just used to games like CS, SC and Diablo, but these games seem more normal to me considering the releases.

I haven't even bought BF3 yet and now they are already talking about BF4 haha?

I'd say this is more an EA standpoint, the corporate monster that it is will soon devour the world.
