a few days ago my 6970 started showing a few red dots while STO was loading , yesterday i purchased farcry3 and was amazed how well it was playing at max settings at stock speeds . turned my system on today and weird lines on the screen (from top to bottom of my monitor) , while it is displaying the system bootup screen etc it is fine but when in windows it looks like it is scrap . when i purchased it i was told it had 2 years warranty (11/08/11) , just checked and it say's it has run out

ps: is it worth trying the oven trick ?

Closed at your request.

But the lack of response really indicates that your GFX card is toast buddy. If all else fails you can always for the oven trick, but ... I doubt it will work.
