Want to buy a new card, any help ?

My ATI Radeon HD 4850 died, i was looking to buy a new card which can handle games smoothly, my budget is $100-$150, i don't need max resolutions or setting, just want to run the game smoothly like HD4850 on which only Crysis 2 wasn't working.

What resolution? I have just recently swapped 4850 for 7850 and loving it! Have not tried to run Crysis 2 yet but everything else i tried was running at max setting with good fps! However it might be just out of ur budget. Perhaps 7770?

GTX 650 Ti is the best card under 150$. But for just 20$ more you could get a much faster HD 7850. Really worth the price.

I suggest going for the 7850 even if it means saving a little bit more. The 2GB will help and its a much better card overall! Sometimes on Newegg a 7870 can be had for $200

This is vs 650ti. If i were you i would save a bit and get 7850. It will definitely worth it!

It is somewhat faster, but not by very much. Not really worth upgrading.

Are there any of these: GTX 560, GTX 560 Ti, GTX 650 Ti, HD 6870, HD 6950 or at least HD 7770? For a higher price (~200$) there should be GTX 660 and HD 7870.

I cannot buy from newegg as it will take more than a month to reach Karachi, the cards which are available right now in the local market are INNO3D GTX650, INNO3D GTX550Ti, INNO3D GT640, EVGA GTX 550Ti, Sapphire HD 7750, Sapphire HD 6770 and HIS HD 6750.

Crysis 2 runs maxed out with the 7850. It is a good card. An alternative would be the Nvidia 660 or 660Ti.

There is no alternative to 7850. It's in the class of its own. GTX 660 and GTX 660 Ti compete with HD 7870 and HD 7950.

You didn't named a brand of your current GPU. If that GPU run your games smoothly (games that it can run), i would go for the same brand if available.

I don't think you can go wrong with Asus for your needs. I wouldn't go with INNO3D. For the chip advice, well, you have enough suggestions above.

Inno3D, BTW, is a PCPartner brand. It's legit and reliable.

Well, it is debatable, for me, it douse make a difference. I can even give you a list of brands i had experience with, and what is the difference, but i will not list if you don't insist since i don't want to start flaming on one or another brand etc. witch will lead to arguing, and yet, all that is subjective, even this statement you laughed at .

EDIT: To add confusion even more, i started to seriously think that some of the brands don't export same quality to different regions, since i truly believe that people who comment on specific brands do know what they talk about, so when someone says "x" brand works great, i should have no doubt about it.

TPU tests are also with 12.11. And they're more accurate, since 18 games are being benchmarked.

Regardless of any benchmark, the AMD series OC very easily to clocks much higher than their original spec, which puts them out from par to well in front. That is a definite consideration when you want to buy a new card.

True true. That little competitor chart, like I said, is with stock clocks.

If OP is a serious overclocker, should go with AMD. Especially if 7850 is in his budget. If it's not, GTX 650 Ti will be fine. Or maybe and older gen card like GTX 560 and HD 6870.

Perhaps there will be some more consistency between benchmarks as the drivers mature further. An older gen card could be a way forward if the price is attractive.
