anyone done them? what are your experiences / tips? i am 26 years old / single / 0.01% lonely / getting ready to settle down. my parents are forcing me to see dating agencies but i prefer to go to speed dating event so i would like to know what i'm up against.

If you don't meet women you can't start a relationship with one. Sounds like any female contact would be good for you, if you don't try it you will never know.

I'm 28, left a long term relationship a year and a bit ago. Best thing I ever did. I don't want kids, prefer my own life. Don't limit your choices, go speed dating, then once you get back sign up on a dating site. Then start a conversation with that girl you find cute that works at the local shop. Then from those new girls you meet, make a list of the girls interested.... then from that list, aim for the girl you think would suit you best!

But personally, if you think you're not ready, don't let others influence your decision. Take as long as it needs before diving back in...

And don't bash your head against the wall like that, it's not healthy! xD

^yea screw the ex again, you know how you've ****ed up your relationship with her so that way you know what not to do this time, but if you get a new one, you are taking new risks too

I'm 23 and I'm not rushing it, never had a girlfriend and never tried to find one. When I find someone to share my life with, I'll stick with that one 'till the end if I have anything to do with it.

In my opinion you should just rush to get a girl. Rushing is never good and I doubt that this is an exception.
