Default Project Cars and AMD Crossfire flicker! - 10-05-2012, 04:57 | posts: 1,118 | Location: New Zealand

Sup Gangstas,

I've recently cheaped out and brought the junior (10 Euro) package for Project cars and have been messing about with it. I freakin love the game, its amazingly good visuals for a racing game...it just sucks that I have to run the game with Crossfire disabled I get the dreaded texture flickering and it drives me bonkers. running catalyst 12.9s with the 12.9 cap1.

Was wondering if any of you guys are experiencing this also? and if theres any kind of fix we can sort out.

I know one of the older caps included a crossfire profile for project cars but it seems to be back with guns a blazin.

Happens in both dx9 mode and dx11 mode too (the old cap which fixed the flickering was for DX9 only)

I've made an enquiry in the RadeonPRO thread to see if anyone there knows of a profile we could try using.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Interesting thread, but heard about this project, it's not even beta. This isn't a complete game and very much under development. I would think it's not worth trying to get CFX to work and just run it on single GPU. I'd only worry about CFX support when the game is maybe in beta.

Hey man thanks for the heads up. Ill try n handle lower image quality for a bit n just run single gpu. Good to know they are working on it for such an early build. Excellent work by the devs.

Its an issue with Dual GPU/Crossfire systems, it was fixed a few builds ago but they have updated their rendering system and now its broken again. Its one of the disavantages of being a game in development :p

They know about it and will do their best to fix it!
