After seeing some of the design decisions they went with, I'm not interested. At all. It's online only. So that means you can't revert your cities to an earlier save if you blow stuff up or fail at something.

Online only and no reversion through older saves? Why did they waste resources on this game, rather make some Facebook micro transaction shyte instead.

a few things guys:
-game will require always on internet connection to Origin servers
-there is no God mode, terraforming will be limited to civil engineering, like flattening terrain and planting some trees.
-no mod support out of the box
-city size will be maxed out to a medium city from SC4
-saves are stored on origin servers, not on your hard drive
so yea, maxis wants the best for us, but as long as it's controlled by EVIL ARTS, this game is dead on arrival

I liked Sim City 4, but it absolutely hates modern computers. Weird bugs and crashes and such constantly. My favorite in the series is still Sim City 3000 Unlimited.

I’m really looking forward to this, unfortunately the online side of it sounds off putting, but it will depend if it’s implemented well.
On a plus note, and it does mean I can install it on both PC’s and my GF’s laptop and play the game no matter where I am, which does sound very handy for a game like this.
My main complaint seems to be that it’s ridiculously expensive for even retail versions, and I just won’t pay anymore than £30 for a game, no matter how good, or how much value it may, or may not bring.
Will be interesting to see how well it sells considering it sounds like there will be zero piracy, unfortunately I don’t’ think there is a huge market for games like this anymore, even on the PC.
