I guess it's no secret that I'm amazed by the talented people on this forum. I'd like to know what AMAZING people dream about doing with the rest of their lives! So.... if you'd like to share your dreams, I'm looking forward to reading about them!

For me, I would live in a SAFE place that is clean and comfortable. I'd have open-minded, truthful, trustworthy friends who are loyal, respectful, and interested in living by an established value system (because it's easier on everyone to have ground rules). I'd NEVER have to deal with liars, thieves, control freaks, manipulators, or closed-minded deceitful dictators AGAIN. There's a lot to be said for "peace" and contentment.

I guess my dreams are simple, move to holland and get a decent job there (hopefully I will have a masters, if I can find a job and save money).

Then I would live comfortably, think about raising a family and smoke weed legally without hassles.

Right now If someone gave me 1k euros for a 5 day trip in Amsterdam I would be more then happy.

I dream of world peace, (it's a long shot but we can all dream). I have no illusions of having the best or being the best - and a life that is self sufficient (off the grid) and a few acres of land with some livestock.

Yeah I dream of the old times, times when things were a lot more simple but with technology to help move things along.

That's a dream of mine as well! I've waited for YEARS just to have an adequate computer, and still don't have it. I guess hope springs eternal, I'm still hoping it's going to work out one day. I'm happy you've got a good job ... even THAT is hard to come by these days.

Yes, world peace would be grand, or in the very least, having a world where people "agree to disagree" and respect each other's opinions/preferences. Sounds like "peace" in one's immediate environment will be the best we can do, Mike. AND... technology is wonderful in the hands of responsible reasonable persons, however, like everything else in this world, it's subject to abuse in many regards. Everything good excellent minds create, evil finds a way to compromise.

I sometimes dream elaborate plans of designing a CPU cooling system(made from old air-conditioners), which i would then use to overclock my CPU to never before seen speeds.(10+ GHz maybe?)

without turning it into a religious debate, i can safely say that i totally respect believers because they're free to follow whatever creed they want, but to be fair, i'll also give you a few reasons why i want religion to disappear

to start with i got a huge issue with this whole "God is merciful, just, kind, loving being" .. i'll just give you 2 examples..

1 - (Book Of Genesis) women were treated really well - "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children..

2 - (Samuel 6:19) God kills 50.000 people only because a couple of men looked into an Ark..

these are all his deeds, now.. what do you think God will do to you when he gets his chance?

then there's a big problem with language in the Bible..

* (Ezekiel 23:19) -"Yet she increased her whoring, and lusted after their genitals as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions.." lol

PS. i did read the bible cover to cover but i did it only to be able to criticize it effectively, i rarely discuss religion though because it's a sensitive topic, it was just to give you an idea, i do apologize if you find any of this offensive in any way but that's how it is unfortunately, you can easily verify the stuff i posted in the bible such as Genesis 3:16 etc

Im surprised that nobody mentioning (or i missed it) about health above all material stuff..
I mean i got a wife, we are more then 18 years together, she has a lung and heart problems congenital disorder as well congenital disease... or how to call it..
After we where together 2 years she got a brain infarction she recovered more or less well.
Then 12 times a cardiac arrest en i give her 2 times a CPR, so 10 times in hospital.
I got cancer in between and till now its gone.
This all is the main stuff what matters in short story.

SO my big wish is that my cancer stays away so i can stand by and take care of my wife during the time she may life, and we have no illusions we getting old together though.
Health is the main part folks, without we lost.

So thats my dream; that we stay healthy and live together till we getting old, as most of us!
