So the question is,

2 cards:

GTX 670 WF3 at 379€ (or the WF2 at 367€)

http://www.arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTE...0OC-2GD-157324

HD7970 WF3 at 364€

http://www.arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTE...GA-BYTE-144248

7970

+more future proof
+more raw performance (a lot if OC'ed)
+slightly cheaper
-some known issues that people have had (stutterings, doesn't throttle up and so on)

670

+quality
+no issues
+safe, guaranteed purchase

7970 and Overclock it, especially since its cheaper. Only reason to go Nvidia is if you are happy with them and are not too bothered about changing.

GTX 670. Only reason to go with AMD is if you are 100% sure you won't come back crying about driver issues.
GTX 670 also has PhysX, TXAA, Adaptive VSync.

7970, had one for over 6 months, and not a single issue with it in all that time, only reason im running a 670 now, is because AMD made a driver change that made my motherboard incompatible with their cards, so had to switch.

Not had a single issue with my 670 either mind, but with the 7970 being cheaper, having more memory, and faster when both are OC'd, id go for that, just make sure your boards compatible.

It's not AMD, it's Biostar, which don't care about their (not so old solutions) products

Imho Biostar are worse than MSI when it comes to hardware compatibility. Whatever possessed you to purchase ECS/Biostar anyway....?

@OP I'd go 7970 and hope for the best....

GTX 670 also has PhysX, TXAA, Adaptive VSync.
OP, next time don't ask a AMD vs Nvidia question in the Nvidia section, go to general hardware.

XBEAST - Nvidia having superior drivers is a myth, thing of the past. the 7970 overclocks like crazy, is cheaper as well. TXAA is supported by 1 game I know off, maybe there's more, not sure. Adaptive vsync might be nice, but I don't even use it on my Nvidia gpu. and Physx is worth it for one or two games, nothing major, really.

It's a close call and I would personally go with the 7970 with a nice third party cooler atm.

Agreed on the 7970. I've built a few rigs over the past three months for people, and I'll tell you right now I've had more problems with Nvidia than I have had with AMD. Out of 4 systems with 670's in I've had to RMA a Palit Jetstream, troubleshoot red-screen-of-death issues on two seperate systems with Asus Direct CU cards. Beyond that I've had complaints of issues with drivers at least once a week. Out of 3 systems sporting AMD cards I've not had a single complaint. This entire "Nvidia has better quality/drivers" myth seriously needs to end.

I'd consider a 7970 over a 660Ti, but never over a 670, but that's comin' from someone hooked on PhysX.

It's really a personal preference. Stock performance is equal. 7970 might be faster IF you push it to its limits. Finally it comes down to software side, which determines overall user experience.

the only way I would ever go amd, If their multi gpu drivers would have to be better than nvidia. only way given performance is relatively equal.

Why? I just bought one and other then price it screams. A little faster then 2 x 6970's. I have 1 1/2 weeks to play with it and of anything is not right I can still return it.

Are you taking into account the 5 month head start the 7970 drivers have over the 670? It is only a myth if five months from now your 670 builds are having those issues.
