Halloween! What are you going to be?

I know a lot of us are old, getting old, or feeling old... but Halloween is awesome. It's a time where we can dress up and go to parties, hand out candy (and eat half of it... haha) or take our minions er... kids out.

So this year I'm having a terrible time deciding what to go as, so I'm wondering what everyone else is planning to be! Do you have some Halloween tradition? Go out with friends? Take kids out? Do you turn off your lights and hope your house doesn't get egged by hooligans? Or are you bitter at life and can't let people have fun? Lets hear it

Well, there goes my idea... what if we both show at the same party? we'd be stuck in an infinite loop...

Probably going as Bane. Not trying to spend too much on the costume, so probably a cheap $15 mask and a $40 vest. But I'll shave my head. And I'm fairly bulked...though nowhere as big as he is supposed to be.

Problem is, I'm brown. I'll be a brown Bane, then, apparently.

I'm on a busniess trip in germany at halloween, so I propably won't be dressed up.

I'll be doing what I do every year. Dressing as myself with the curtains closed and lights off. Not my favourite time of year, I give my neices a little something but I'm not about to hand out sweets to half the neighbourhoods kids. Especially when the trick-or-treaters aren't exactly kids, and more mid to late teens. That said, I'm in the north-east of England at the moment and people generally just don't bother outside of kids and opportunist teenagers.

Never dressed up for this, but I notice it's becoming larger and larger over here too, with Halloween parties and such (although these usually fall to the weekend). Ah well, nothing wrong with having another excuse for getting wasted, I guess.

Looks like I'll be going on a hunting trip that weekend, so I'll be shooting at moving... objects instead.

last year i went as ****ed up hockey player

unfortunately due to hockey not popular in england everybody thought i was american football zombie ha

Some good ideas here... I thought this one was clever: man caught in wind. Basically it was a dude wearing a suit but gelled his hair back so it looked like he was in a blast of wind, had an inverted umbrella and had a piece of wire in his tie to make it look like it was blowing in the wind. FOREVER.

Don't celebrate it myself.... I miss having my mean looking German Shepherd mix to have on the front porch too.
