Interesting solution, but I'm ok with windforce coolers. BTW, new 8970 will be available in 4-5 months, so it's to late.
Thanks for review

I like this, but would be awkward for my tri-fire setup (when I get the bloody third card installed XD)

This cooler has been out for a while. I remember reading a review back in July about it. Impressive nonetheless.

Nice review Hilbert
One thing I want to know is how do they get there 320w heat dissipation number? Can't see how such a small rad can do that? Wouldn't you need a Delta 4000RPM fan to achieve something like that!?

Thermal glue -

I own and accelero cooler for 7970 and its actually pretty easy to remove the glued heatsinks without doing any damage. It doesnet leave any residue behind either, it feels somehow silicon like.

It's a bit confusing Arctic includes different Glue with each cooler.
My previous GTX 580 with Extreme Plus also had the Adhesive Glue which couldn't be removed and my current GTX 680 with Twin Turbo 2 came with the removable Glue.
Ofcourse you can always use Thermal Tape, but i personally have a bad experience with that in the past.
Then again, Arctic Coolers have never let me down. Been using them since the 7800 GTX. The only downside is that 95% of the heat from their air coolers gets exhausted into the case which may make your CPU a couple degrees warmer. But that's the price to pay for a dead silent PC.

I ditched the glue after following the directions exactly and having every single heatsink fall off.... I'm using 3M thermal adhesive tape now.

Considering how this is backwards compatible with the 6900 series, you guys think it will be compatible with the 8900 series when it comes out?

Yea. But I wouldn't bet any money on that considering many respins of the past have required different board components like caps to enable the higher clock speeds. And that could easily change the fit requirements.

Seeing a lot of these comments, i been using their glues aswell and on my current 680 the removable glue and it has yet to fall off.
So you must be doing something wrong. Bad cleaning or mixing.
I cleaned my components with 97% alcohol.

I clean with an eraser (as instructed), clean with 70% alcohol, eraser again, alcohol again....mix the 2 packets together for 5 minutes (as instructed) and apply as instructed. Allow to cure for 24hrs then installed graphics card. Soon as the card warmed up, heatsinks started falling off....

That's true but the GPU area has been relatively the same heatsink mount wise maybe with some modification or none this will work with 89xx AMD is all about backwards compatibility (whether or not that is a positive is up to the end user) so I see it working.
