Default NVhardpage gives really low FPS!! - 09-18-2002, 04:45 | posts: n/a

Hi,

I got an AMD Duron 1200@1400, Soyo KT333 Ultra, Gainward GF Ti200 with 384Mb ram. Everything is tuned for optimum in Bios - unchanged before installing NVhardpage.
Since using the NVhardpage, my FPs has gone down from 172 to 60!!! i use Qbench to believe what i'm seeing and it confirmed it with a 60fps average! so what is happening here!
This is weird! I've tried everything, still this rediculously low FPS.
help!

Hi,

if you enable options, which increase quality, you get less fps (but games look great). For disabling changes which you made, go to nVidia control panel, click on OpenGL (or Direct3D) tab and press button "RESET TO DEFAULTS". If still fps is low, in nVHardPage press button "Delete All OGL" or "Delete All D3D sett." buttons (or use Performance wizard).

But only unzziping and running nVHardPage do not made any changes in your videocard settings.
