Just a word of warning not a thread crap. Be careful with that mobo my X58 OC was the best board I've ever owned RIP. It pushed my Xeon hexcore easily to 4.2 and memory to 2.0Ghz but the temps were unmanageable even with custom water cooling. Checked the core temp log after the board died and cpu temp was 102C. That board was designed to use dry ice and liquid nitrogen cooling to keep the cpu pins from catching fire.

How'd the CPU survive that then? I'm running a Xeon W3680 hexcore at 4.5 @ 1.375V, that never gets over 70 degrees full load on a D14, board seems nice and stable, nothing gets too toasty at all.

I dunno but its still chuggin along just fine in my current system w/a different mobo of course. A close examination of the OC revealed two cpu pins are charred and in the shape of a U. I didn't check but its likely a safe bet those pins supply the cpu with power from the board. The cpu voltage was set at only 1.35 Vcore and 1.31Vtt. Might have been a problem with the water cooling loop or something at that time but all hardware still in use on the rebuilt system.

Ah that's good to know, maybe a dodgy mobo or something on your part then. Sorry to hack the thread OP, your build looks good BTW

Just for those who dont know S4 is the supposed base where according to Bob Lazar the alien craft are held behind doors that come out of the mountainside, the ships look injection molded and are made for slightly smaller occupants,They form a time bubble and ride inside that bubble at or beyond the speed of light, powered by a silver dollar sized piece of ununpentium 115 which is a real element on the periodic table.I met a guy who worked at Area 51 at a campground and he said occasionally the MP.s with M16's would move them to one building where blinders would be put down, during that time they heard and felt a thundering pulsating motor that to me sounds like a scramjet,I said sounds like the Aurora,he said "Thats what I think it is " I checked him out on the net and he was for real:infin ity:
