i finally got my system stable(big thanks to upgrade from 98 to XP) and now i am trying to see what else i can get out of my geforce.

what i have now:
1.2 ghz amd
512 mb forgot what kind. how would i check?
MSI geforce 3 ti 200 128mb
win XP pro

i have been able to get it up to 458 and 215. I am just starting to see some graphical glitches in games and on 3dmark.
Am i correct in believing that if the memory clock is too high one gets graphic glitches, and if the core is too high it freezes. that is what i have been going by so far and my little theory has held up. I dont have any extra cooling on the card itself, just the stock fan. I do have 1 front and 3 back case fans though. myu cpu is running at 47-50 according to PC-Alert that came with the mobo.
have i found the cards limit or is there something else i could do?

yes that's the limit without any further modding... you can get more outta the core by putting a superior cooler, and more outta the ram by ramsinks...

as for the fsb to 133, i think that will give you a boost, but don't do it yet... you need superior cooling for the cpu.. 47 - 50 is waaay too hot to think about o/cying...

btw, you are correct... core too high = freezing or large amounts of artifacts
memory too high = odd dots start popping up and artifacting soemtimes...

btw, do try and equal out the INTAke with the OUTTake... i think most poeple will agree with me that its best to keep 2 fans out, if 2 are coming in...

ok thanks that is good to know.
so what kind of $ are we looking at to get more cooling? i know i will have this card for a few more years and would like to get the most out of it. also what is the $ for more cooling on the amd. it has a fsb of 133 now and i have been reading a bit on upping that.
on the whole fan thing, i have a bigger one in fron and two smaller in back. the third is the one up top(guess that is not really a case fan, maby for the powersupply?)
thanks for all the info. I learn something every time i come to this place.
