Ill be honest they managed to do a good job with the 1st one. The price also was not that high when it was released. Ill probably be picking this up so i have all of the Halo games on the 360 in total. xD

Just hoping they keep the price down as it was with the 1st one.

No because Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition actually had revamped HD graphics (higher poly models, superior lighting, more detailed textures) which could be toggled between those and the original graphics in real-time (except for during cutscenes). Unfortunately this meant that the animation and physics had to be kept the same but in all other respects it was great to see a classic game running with improved visuals. I'm sure Halo 2 will be every bit as good too.

The PS3 HD titles, though still good, tend to just HD remakes using the original assets and textures, only running at 1280x720 with a smoother framerate and (sometimes) anti-aliasing.

I have to confess that I only buy HD remakes for my PS3 and Xbox 360 these days with Sly Raccoon, Jak & Daxter, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Ratchet & Clank being the most recent. The latter is my favourite, simply because I've never played the originals and the cartoonesque visuals work really well in HD.

A patch was released yesterday to fix many of the issues with the PS3 version of Silent Hill HD but, personally, I'd recommend you wait until you've read more feedback before buying.

I've had the Xbox 360 version since March and it has audio glitching, including cut-offs, and there's no sign of any patch over three months later. A very poor showing from Konami IMO.

people are like: "ahhahah you like halo your stupid"

i dont give a SH** hhehhee

i have every single Halo with the exception of ODST (Halo Combat Evolved -digital download from xbox marketplace, Halo CE: Anniversary Edition, Halo 2 Vista (PC version of Halo 2) Halo 3 and MY FAVORITE HALO OF ALL TIME : Halo: Reach.

IMHO i would definitely Buy the remake of Halo 2 for the 360 (i remember i waited in line with sooo many people for the limited edition metallic Halo 2 case for the original xbox and i played h2 multiplayer almost religiously throughout my Highschool time

i have about 120GB left on my Xbox360s harddrive.. The xbox360 remake of halo 2 will have its own reserved space for it and it will NEVER move from it...... EVER. lol

i still find it strange that i am scared to play ODST for fear that i might be dissapointed

should i get ODST??

why is that???

Edit:

after reading the Halo wikipedia i can allready see why

also, to stay back on topic:

Halo 2's sountrack was really good minus the parts were Incubus played
the melodies in some of the music were really moving- like for example the part were you team up with the arbiter in the beginning of High Charity. The music was deep and melodic without being to crazy and cluttered
you can find this track on the OST of halo 2. its called High Charity!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtC8ffxly5c

(Incubus is actually one of my favorite bands) but they kinda flopped on Halo 2.
The multiplayer in H2 was also the best multiplayer experience people had for a while long after it was launched.
that type superior multiplayer teamed up with some awesome maps and locations, the relaunched H2 for xbox360 should be a home run.

I liked it as well, but it was very different than a normal Halo game.

I actually really enjoyed ODST, whilst it clearly doesn't come close to Reach it's still hugely enjoyable (especially in Co-Op) ... added bonus, it lacks The Flood.
