Which is better in terms of performance the hyper 212 plus or cnps 10x extreme. I don't want the hyper evo because it costs $36 on ebay and I have a certificate on ebay. the hyper 212 plus is $20.

Zalman by a decent margin. Thinking of upgrading to a 10x Performa myself, looks like a phenomenal value.

You don't want to get the Evo on account of price? If you've found a 10x Extreme for cheaper than an Evo, share the secret, man!

Yeah it is a great cpu cooler. It also has a little led fan haha. The Zalman looks significantly smaller than the Hyper 212 plus, but it is actually only .24 inches smaller

I've used the CNPS10x Extreme for a very long time now and it may have decent performance but it's completely unacceptable considering the noise level. It's not tolerable at high speeds unless you have headphones on. Also, it's a dust magnet, builds up dust like nothing I've ever seen before. I advise staying away from the CNPS10x Extreme.

I have the cnps 10x extreme. It keeps my cpu under 55c in prime 95 at 4.0GHz 1.2v and under 70c at 4.6GHz without breaking 1.1k RPM so it doesn't make much noise and it looks nice. Dust doesn't fill it faster then any other cooler i have used. I have had it almost 2 years and have only cleaned it a couple of times but my case does have dust filters.

My final decision was to choose the Hyper 212 Plus because it is more quiet and I looked at the benchmarks and there wasn't a big
difference between the two

Good choice..

Zalmans are noisy. Ball-bearing fans. It is a trade-off they last longer but are louder..so you give and take.

They have updated the Hyper 212 design a few times also.
