Thanks Hilbert and anDrasch, much appreciated, but it turns out these are not old enough. I still cannot downclock like I used to, and there is no built-in blue skin!
Does anyone have one of the betas, maybe beta14 or beta15?

Is there any chance of that being added as I need to use Afterburner for a GPU Monitor sidebar gadget.
I found out that if I ran Precision X and set the Framerate Target to 60 fps that it would be applied to all my games even if it wasn't running in the background and I was using Afterburner instead. As such it means I have a workaround but it would be nice to have this option in Afterburner properly (if it is not already there, that is).
I also miss this feature in AB. I find it hard to believe that this is exclusive EVGA feature, as this is a built-in feature of the nvidia graphics card, not of the software.

Anyways, I think you can use nVidia Inspector to set the framerate target on the global profile, or separately for each game profile. Hope this helps.

Which cards exactly are affected? In my Gigabyte 670 OC the max power limit is still 111%.

Also, I can overclock no problem, and increase the voltage, but it will not accept my underclock even at stock volts. Previous versions of AB would let me downclock my GTX 580 to 400MHz (saved as 2D profile) for normal desktop use (I have 2 monitors of different resolutions and the nvidia driver forces 3D clocks all the time), but not any more.

This also means that once the 3D (overclock) profile is enabled, it will not downclock when the 2D (underclock) profile is enabled. Using the latest WHQL.....
Why not use inspectors multi-display power mode to keep the clocks at 51Mhz and then use the latest AB without worries? Works perfectly fine for me but I did have to delay inspectors launch at boot via batch file as shown here to prevent it from interfering with AB overclocks. Other than that its the best option in my opinion

Thanks for the next portion of personal insults. He is not me, I no longer spend time here on improving the tool, tired of wasting all free time on supporting software in exchange of seeing nothing but "dick", "prick", "douche" and "constant seizure condition".
I hope you're not disappointed about "huge" changes list of 2.2.2, because this is direct result of your own activity in the forums and this is the only thing you'll see with future versions. So get what you pay for. So no more techincal support, no more betas, no more free functionality upgrades.

Dear Unwinder,

Your tool had been working wonderfully for me over the years across AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.

I've been trying your latest 2.2.2 on a Sony VAIO laptop running GT640M LE, however the voltages are locked (all voltage unlock settings enabled in preference) and the core clock seems to be hard locked at 540MHz despite the slider being able to offset much higher. Mem speed is fully unlocked so no problems there.

Any advice appreciated, just want to confirm if there's a way to override the limits.

Thank you.

AB doesn't officially support mobility cards, some options may stay locked.

Thanks for pointing out what's been posted already on the forum. By that logic a whole raft of cards are not supported officially as well i.e., AMD ones without resorting the unofficial flag in the cfg file or the xcl flag.

My question is very specific.

Thanks.

If only you knew how many years Unwinder has had to deal with stupid comments aimed at his programs, then maybe you'd begin to understand his bitterness.

• Increased upper allowed power limit for power limit adjustment slider on some extreme editions of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series graphics cards
QUOTE]

Hi there!

I'm trying to increase the power limit slider for the Nvidia 640M LE in my new Sony S series laptop. However, there is no power limit slider at all (I'm using 2.2.2) - is this to be expected with this card...?

Any guidance much appreciated.

Thanks,

Petrov.

Like Pill said you can mess with the config file and see if you can get a result, but it still will not work. Mobility is not supported, so people would not brick their cards.

Gotta say Unwinder, I have not spent really any time on this forum in the last few years, and it's a very long time since I've read a post of yours here; and while I regret to hear that people have been calling you "dick" "prick" and "douche" (I have not seen any of these exchanges), I also can't help but ask questions. My memory of you going back a couple years on this forum was of a rather aggressive type, short on patience but quick to anger. I remember addressing you felt like I was walking on eggshells.

When I saw NiColaoS' comment regarding you on this page (which was calm and relaxed and simultaneously complementing msi-afterburner as a pleasant guy to deal with, while questioning yourself), it rang a bell as my memory of you came flooding back. Personally I never had a clash with you, but to hear that you have been in clashes doesn't surprise me at all really.

No smoke without fire I'm afraid. I don't think there's any question that you are a difficult person to deal and get along with. I think your decision to remove yourself from involvement with the software is probably for the best.

I had been favoring MSI when considering my upgrade to Kepler. This kind of changes that.

Don't go along with that part of it just like you.

Alot of work goes into coding along with knowledge on how to do it and
it is a free app.

And can't see hanging it up just because of the Minority but its his call.

I've used it from the start and has worked good, Few glitches from time to time and alot of those were self caused, But he worked on those that weren't.

If he charged for it could see the Flack on problems, But he doesn't.

I can tell right away that I'm not as elite as you but what does all that have to do with AB 2.2.2 other than you trolling on Unwinder? You were not missed those few years you were gone and we won't miss you for a few more.

Did they update "Download MSI Afterburner" link on http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/ page? Didn't realize v2.2.2 was the latest until it popped up this morning saying would you like to update to v2.2.2, seeing as I have v2.2.1.

Found it elsewhere, just mentioning for convenience's sake.
