Lol .. defected
In all seriousness, I doubt it is a problem because laptop gpus get very warm, I used to play mass effect 2 on mine with a Radeon 5470M and it was toasty without a chill pad.

I'm not sure now, it's been two years. The exhaust air was very warm and the whole machine heated up badly in a non-air conditioned room and without the chill pad. You're in the middle east too, try getting a getting chill pad and plug it in before gaming. My GPU was only a 5470M, you have a much higher speced chip so there will be some difference.

Benchmarks stress hardware a little extra, try a game also.

That's hot even for a laptop.

Mine maxes out at about 85c and you have newer technology their, so it should be running cooler.

I remember my old HP Pavilion DV9700 8600GT ran at 90 - 100c. It lasted 6 months.

Laptop GPUs have a higher threshold then desktops, I think its 115c before it throttles.

I can either give you scientific examples of why that is too hot, or, I can tell you straight off the bat that those temperatures are Unacceptable.

If the laptop is new, then no, not really. You best bet is to get a docking station - one that uses cooling, or a cooling pad of some sort.

Edit: This should help reinforce my advice.

Bad paste job or not, straight out of the factory it shouldn't be running that hot! even at load.

Problem is, if you were to crack it open an apply your own thermal paste chances are doing so will "void the warranty", so it's not advisable to do so.

Post the exact model, and I'll do a little research for ya.

Actually, I've been hearing lately "Furmark" isn't to reliable or accurate with stress testing these days.

If I'm wrong, someone jump in.

Download GPU-Z, set max readouts for each benchmark program used (reset readouts after each program used).

This way you can isolate if it's a hardware related problem, or software. But 85c seems about right.

i tried occt as well but it yielded the same results , 96-97c when 99% load , the temperature for any load under 99% is okey , as soon as the load hit 99% the temperature deteriorate , so im not sure now is my gpu faulty or not??

Well something is up. When I looked at the casing it looked well ventilated (being a gaming laptop it should be) but hitting those sort of temps is absurd.

Call the people you brought it off and tell them what temps you are getting, and see where it goes from there.

Personally, I'd suggest getting a refund and getting a different model.
After going through the same thing myself, I'll never make that mistake again.

Ring the bastards up you brought it from, tell them the temps, see where it goes from there.

If all else fails (short of replacing thermal paste), get some type of cooling pad for it.

That's all I've got.

In my opinion a laptop gpu shouldn't run much more than 85 celcius...

Any more and it will decrease the lifespan of the laptop. 100+ celcius you will fry your gpu...

My laptop gpu is overclocked to the max and I get no more than 80 degrees celcius & that's without any cooling pads & in a hot environment.

Guys, try to keep your laptop temps under 90 should you wish your laptop to last long enough to play Black Mesa when it's released...

^ And that's what I've been getting at.

$hit I learnt my lesson with my last one (Which turns out were lemons from the get go), history will not repeat on that one.

Dude ... furmark and OCCT do the same thing to desktop GPUs. Like I said, try a game or get a chill pad. If you're in a masochistic mood, go through the RMA process.

No, it's the opposite, desktop gpu's max threshold is 115 and even then it's not advisable to torture your gpu at such absurd temperatures...

Whether desktop or laptop gpu's, keep your temps at 85 or less...
